Price of LG Viewty Smart GC900 India Rs. 26,500/-

LG Viewty Smart GC900 introduced in India in the beginning of August, 2009. This is the second generation Viewty phone. The previous version is LG Viewty KU990 had a 5 megapixel camera where as its sibling LG Viewty Smart GC 900 comes with an 8 megapixel camera. Some of the improvement on LG Viewty Smart over LG Viewty is its 8 mega pixel camera with ISO 1600 sensitivity. It has a higher resolution WVGA touch screen. The image processor is not more sophisticated with multiface detection feature.

LG Viewty Smart GC900 comes in black an silver. The first thing that hits you as soon as you pick up the phone is the 3 inch touchscreen and secondly the long home button. When compared to Apple iphone, this is more compact and slimmer. However Apple iphone has 3.5 inch display. The volume control buttons are on the side and as usual the camera shutter button is also on the side for easy use.

One of the problems that is recently faced by mobile users is the proprietary USB ports and headphone ports. The same applies to LG Viewty Smart as well. You will be able to use the jacks only for this phone and you will not be able to use the cables that you use for your other brand phones.

It is bit of a disappointment that for a phone with 8 megapixel camera it comes only with 1.5 Gb internal storage. However, when compared to the other phones in this category, it has better internal storage space. You will be able to upgrade the memory with microsd card. It can support up to 32 gb.

It is of course a 3G enabled phone. Battery time is 330 hours standby and 5.5 hours on usage. It is not just 3G, it 3.5G HSDPA. USB port is available but with proprietary jack. Other features include FM radio, calendar, alarm clock, calculator etc.
